I am the head of the Ar isotope lab and Director of Research at SUERC, University of Glasgow. My research spans many topics, including:

  • High-precision geochronology
  • Noble gas mass spectrometry and technology development
  • Clumped isotope mass spectrometry and applications
  • Terrestrial volcanism
  • Quaternary climate change and human evolution
  • Geomagnetism and dynamo processes
  • Planetary science
