Dr Nicalas in lab.

Dr Nicolas Bompard

I am the Laboratory Technician in the NEIF High Temperature Stable Isotope Laboratory at the Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC), University of Glasgow. I operate and maintain the vacuum lines and Isotope Ratio Mass-Spectrometers used to process and analyse samples for oxygen, hydrogen, and sulfur isotope analyses.

I train lab-users visiting us and advise them on the best way to obtain high-quality data from their samples. I also design new protocols and apparatus to improve analysis efficiency, data quality, and to process unusual samples.

My other interests lie in education and sharing knowledge; I have a Teaching qualification in Sciences and a Dive Instructor certification. I am looking forward to being involved with GAEA.
