Anion Exchange Chromatography
Intended Learning Objectives
1. Perform anion exchange chromatography to separate Aluminium and Beryllium from impurities such as Iron and Titanium by preparing and conditioning resin columns, ensuring proper sample loading, and eluting fractions systematically.
2. Monitor and manage resin and sample interactions by observing resin conditioning, preventing air bubbles, and handling elution solutions carefully to maintain separation efficiency.
3. Process eluted fractions for further purification by drying down samples, performing sulphate conversion, and ensuring complete dissolution for subsequent cation exchange chromatography.
